Flowers and Zentangle

Hi!  I recently finished two new ACEOs and thought I would take a minute to share them with you.

The first is "Crocus" with a Zentangle inspired background:

The second is "Springtime Flowers", zentangle style:

Hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend!

  1. I am a huge fan of zentangle and yours are especially beautiful :)
My hubby and I are celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary this week and we are having a $25 give-a-way, please come over and get your name in the drawing :)
No we didn't marry on April fools day, we waited one day, so's not to be joked at for the rest of our lives :)
    Have a marvelous week,
    Your blogging sister, Connie

  3. Karen Anne,

Wonderful to come here to see all of your new pieces!

I always respond to your elaborate backgrounds (like in these flowers!).

I agree about the second portrait: the eyes are further apart than the first portrait (that's how you achieved more of the likeness the second time around).

Glad to see you are still at it and I look forward to more of your work!

    1. I had originally done the crocus with a plain background but I didn't like the way it turned out so I decided to add the zentangle patterns, it became much more interesting.

Thanks Lise, hope all is well with you ....

    1. Wow, that is one heck of a great description! Guess that is why you are the writer and I, the mere artiste'. LOL!
