Here my latest ACEO which I have titled "Blue Dragonfly". I really like Dragonflies ... they remind of something pre-historic and they always make me smile, plus they don't bite! The patterns in their wings are so delicate and complex, with each new dragonfly I create on paper ... I get a little better at capturing that beauty. I hope you like my "Blue Dragonfly"!
I have the original listed in my eBay Store ...
and Open Edition ACEO Authorized Art Prints in my Etsy Shop ...
Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying this day (even though it is wet and gloomy here)!
Karen Anne aka IrelandBrady
I love the colors in this one. I am glad you raised your prices, too. All the work and talent you put into them is worth every penny & more!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie!
DeleteRaising the prices was harder than I thought .... I kept thinking "People are gonna think I've let a few good sales go to my head ... " . We'll see what happens! LOL!
Your blue dragonfly is stunning my friend! And, I love the sun and flower too! But, I really love your sun! Looks Aztec to me! So much detail! Don't you worry about raising your prices! Like you said, see how it goes ;o) If you think 19.99 is too much, you could always start them off at 15.99. You're smart ;o) You'll figure it out ;o) Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so happy you like this one Stacy. I was going to start at $14.99 and BIN at $29.99 but another friend (and terrific artist whose talent I greatly admire) said to start at $24.99 with a BIN of $45. I felt that was a bit high for my work, so I compromised and started with figures kinda in the middle. Eventually I will figure this out! LOL!
DeleteI didn't notice the price, but I did notice your new art piece. So many textures in this one! A feast for the eyes!!
ReplyDeleteI usually start with a simple black and white original ACEO at around $15 and as they get more elaborate (with color) go to $25 (with the most expensive being around $28). I don't know if I'm in the general ballpark of what other artists charge for comparable artwork, but does it matter? I figure my investment in a piece is worth what I set my price to.
You are pretty much right on the mark with the way most artists seems to price their items, Lise.
DeleteI tend to go with, what is the least I will part with this piece for?
I'm glad you like this one Lise, I was concerned that maybe it was to busy .... 8)
Karen Anne, may I ask, why have a price a person could buy it at? Maybe it could go more than that price? Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteI think the Buy It Now figure is for persons who don't want to wait, or who don't like the uncertainty of bidding. Once a bid is placed on an item, the BIN figure is no longer available.
DeleteA BIN amount is fixed and the buyer knows that is the most they will pay for it. Once it goes to auction, the final figure can be much higher than the BIN amount.
Very interesting! Thanks Karen Anne ;o)
