THANK YOU STACY (Magic Love Crow)!

What a great day!  The weather is just beautiful and sunny today and the mail man just dropped off a package from Stacy aka Magic Love Crow!  September was Stacy's birthday month and Stacy had a blog birthday give-away party ... unlike most people, Stacy gives gifts to others on her birthday!

She had over eight gifts for those who wanted to participate in her birthday giveaway drawing and I was lucky enough to win the cotton dish clothes that were hand knitted by her Mom!  The dish clothes are beautifully knit in a gorgeous basket weave pattern and I am delighted to receive them ... as I said ... "Lucky Me!"!

Whoops!  Dilly Boy just came in and saw the knit dish clothes and was aghast that I could possibly think of using them for dishes and soiling and perhaps ruining them ... he has a much better use for these high quality pieces.  According to his thinking, they are the perfect size blankets for him and his friends to cuddle up in!  What can I say ... I had to agree with him ... they are way to pretty to use for dishes!  Ergo, Dilly Boy won my heart and Stacy's Mom's "blankets".

Aren't they just gorgeous!  Dilly Boy sends his heartfelt thanks to Stacy's Mom for presenting him with the softest, nicest, cuddliest blankets he has ever been given! XOXOXOXOX to Stacy and to Stacy's Mom from Dilly Boy!

Happy day all!
Karen Anne

PS  Thanks Stacy and Stacy's Mom for brightening up our day!

  3. Dilly Boy has the right idea using those beautifully knitted blankets to snuggle under. My aunt used to give me knitted dish clothes and I never could bring myself to use them for doing the dishes. Too much work put into something I'd stain washing dishes or wiping up splattered tomato sauce.

    1. It is very hard to use something that has been so beautifully created ... kinda like using an illustration as a placemat!

  5. You have the luck of the Irish on your side methinks LOL! How wonderful winning these hand-knitted delights, I see talent & craftiness (in a good way) runs deep & plentiful (not to mention generosity) at this household :) Also wanted to say I'm so happy you got & liked your aceo, I've been away for over a month so hope you didn't think I was ignoring you, your blog is always a fun visit & I caught up a little on what you've been doing too... crayfish, mmmm! Take care, got 1000's of photos to download & sort, oh, & love seeing your photo inspiration for the girl & fish too, hopefully I'll do a blog update soon and share some holiday pics as well, I saw some awesome art :)

    1. So good to hear from you Shelle! Glad to hear you have been away and will be sharing your pics! I really miss when you are gone and your blog is in "stall" mode ... BUT I can certainly understand why! Looking VERY forward to seeing some activity when you have some time!

That little lady? My 2nd granddaughter and only daughter to my youngest! I am a lucky Gramma ... 5 granddaughters, 5 grandsons ... Luck of the Irish? Me thinks so!

Thanks for touching base, always special to hear from you!

      Take care and be happy!
