Oh my, I have certainly been neglecting my blog. A big case of life interrupting my plans! Oh well, that is what keeps life interesting, the unexpected popping up with new challenges ... some good, some not so good but challenging never the less.
As you make recall, I belong to an artists eBay group and each month they have a Theme Week Contest. This month's theme is "Native American" and the following are my two ACEO (2.5" x 3.5") entries in the Theme Week contest from the ACEO ~ Art Cards Editions and Originals group on eBay. The contest takes place the first week of each month. To view other listings, by some very talented artists, you can use this link ACEO TW NOV

"Native Girl with Doll"
"NW Coast Girl"
Right now I am in the midst of moving my studio from the dining room to our upstairs area. My supplies are piling up higher and higher in the dining room and I am in need of more space! The only problem is, we have been using the upstairs as a "Catch All" these past several years and it is quite packed. Yesterday I unburied my drafting table and light table. Today I am geared up to tackle the main room ... ugh!
Take care, be happy ...
Karen Anne Brady
These native american girls are so adorable. I love all the details. So nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nilna! It is nice to hear when people like my pieces .. VERY appreciated!
DeleteI love Native American themed art, and these are just beautiful! I don't envy you moving all your supplies, but having more room will be great!
ReplyDeleteI do too ... thanks for letting me know I did justice to our Native American heritage!
DeleteAt almost 66, I am just about exhausted from running up and down STEEP stairs for the past 3 days but I will say ... It is WELL worth the sore limbs and probably a good work out! LOL! Have several more days of getting stuff into their new spaces ... This is gonna be sooooooooooo NICE once I am done! 8)
Hey Karen Anne ;o) Sorry I am late coming around! Your new aceo's are so beautiful! I love them!! Very special!
ReplyDeletePlease take care of yourself, with all your cleaning up!!
Big Hugs ;o)
Always a pleasure when you visit Stacy! I'm happy to hear you like the latest members of the family. They were fun to create.
DeleteAm fine tuning my re-arranging now, then I'll let up for a bit, enjoy some artwork, and then take on another room once I am rejenerated.
Bigs hugs back atcha!
I really like "Native Girl with Doll". I've always found pictures of little girls holding dolls endearing.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the re-arranging. :)
Thanks Katy! I love dolls too and pictures of little girls with their dolls.
DeleteI've put a good dent in the re-arranging, have a ways to go ... but the mountain is being chipped away and becoming smaller! Yes!
Karen Anne,
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike. I have been re-arranging for awhile too (inbetween some more life events taking me off track from my work). I moved away from my dining room table at the very tail end of 2010, but then my new studio became a nightmare too -- all filled up and a mess. So I've been on an organizing binge. Discovered that plastic bins are the way to go instead of struggling with shelving.
Anyway, your new ACEOs are sweet!
Glad to see you around again!
I am still working on getting a routine but it is slow going. Kinda gave up on cleaning out for awhile, working on Christmas gifts now. And those "Life Events" do tend to take one off track! I discovered clear plastic bins, drawers are definitely the way to go for a chaotic mind such as mine! LOL! At least I have a 50% chance of finding what I am seeking!
