I have illustrated zentangle inspired salmon, flounder, crawdads, and
geckos ... last week my husband asked me to create a zentangle inspired
drawing featuring Horned Toad Lizards, when he was a young lad he had
one as a pet and he really likes them! Well, I will tell you, this was
one of the hardest drawings I have ever done! It took over two days of
sketching before I finally came up with a shape that he was happy with
and wow, was he ever particular! I am happy to say, we are still married!
So here you go .... Jim's "Twin Horned Toad Lizards"

These are so cute!!! Deb has been e-mailing me! She is so excited about them! Oh, glad you are still married! LOL! Take Care ;o)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Deb purchased two today ... she really likes them! I printed them on photo paper for her and they REALLY pop out! Almost better than the original.
ReplyDeleteYep ... me too! Jim is an engineer and thinks like an engineer ... I'm an artist and think like an artist (talk about total opposites!) ... communicating can sometimes be a bit frustrating (for each of us!) ... but we've been managing to put up with each other since 1968! God blessed me - I couldn't have a more supportive hubby than Jim!
Happy day Stacy!
Karen, these are stunning! I love how you've paired these various creatures. So far, this one is my favorite -- the colors and patterns are just lovely!
