WIP - Day Three

On Day Three I added some more shadowing to the face, colored in the eyes, added lashes and eye brows and began working on the hair.  I have used the mineral spirits (applied with paper stumps) for all the blending, I think I am beginning to get the hang of this blending with mineral spirits.  Go slow and easy.

I was having trouble working on just the face, I needed more in other areas so that I can see where the shadowing needs more emphasis and I decided now was a good time to beginning working on other areas of the drawing.

I now think I am off to a good start .....

Eureka! "The Letters E & U" ....

EUreka!  With the completion of "The Letter E" and "The Letter U" I have finished "The Alphabet Series"!

I began my quest to complete a zentangle alphabet series on 9/18/2010 and finished this project on 11/21/2010.  One letter takes approximately 2 to 3 days to complete.  Many a day I would wake around 6AM and be so drawn to the letter I was illustrating that I would work on it until 5 or 6PM that evening.  Each letter has been lovingly drawn using India Ink on plain white paper, then carefully cut out.  After which I painted a water color background and applied the completed letter to the dried water color.

I have listed the letters "E" and "U" in My Etsy Shop available with color backgrounds and plain white backgrounds as authorized art prints (8"x10") and Open Edition ACEO's (2.5"x3.5").

So, with no further ado, I happily share with you ....

Watermarking Art Print Photos.....

"Tutorial Post"
Yesterday I was on a quest to learn how to watermark the artwork I have posted in my Etsy Shop.  I Googled "How to create a Watermark" and found this wonderful tutorial showing you how to create a watermark brush in Photoshop:

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 and I was able to use the instructions in this video to create a watermark brush for my listed art prints.  AND, if I can do it .... ANYONE can do it!  I am a total Photoshop Dummy but I did it!  It's kinda like having an electronic rubber stamp you can use on your art print photos!  Super easy to create and use!

Here is a copy of one of the prints I watermarked .....

Not bad for a PhotoShop dummy!  What do you think????
