They are called mudmen...Thank you so much Shelle! <br />They are called mudmen because they are traditionally made of mud (clay), most in a village in China. They were basically created to enhance gardens, especially well suited for Bonsai gardens. They are typically, individually made which gives each his or her own personality. There is a shiny glaze that it put onto all of the surface EXCEPT for the skin, which adds to uniqueness.
